Sergeant Johnathan Mulder provides an overview of his experience at a Metro Corrections Facility.
We spend a little time discussing the programs offered to inmates and the different approaches that are being taken to lessen recidivism.
We then talk about personnel shortages and the reasons why correctional facilities nationwide seem to struggle with maintaining employees.
We talk about the mental toll of corrections on the officer and programs that are available and being developed to help law enforcement officers in the area of mental health.
